Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Mediterrana Yachts, XCG Investments IKE. By booking a yacht charter with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

​

2. Booking & Payment

​

  • Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from Mediterrana Yachts.

  • Full payment must be completed before the charter begins.

  • Any Additional Provisioning Allowance (APA) or extras must be settled as specified in your invoice.

3. Cancellation Policy

​

  • Up to 30 days before sailing: 30% cancellation fee applies.

  • 15–30 days before sailing: 60% cancellation fee applies.

  • Less than 15 days before charter: No refund (100% cancellation fee).

  • APA Refunds: Any APA paid will be fully refunded if the charter is canceled before the start date.

  • Refunds: Processed within 14 days of cancellation notice.

4. Changes Due to Weather

​

  • If your original itinerary cannot be completed due to weather, our crew will suggest alternative destinations or routes.

  • Changes due to adverse weather do not qualify for a refund or compensation.

5. Cancellations by Mediterrana Yachts

​

  • If we must cancel due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., safety, security, weather, strikes, mechanical issues), guests may reschedule.

  • If rescheduling is declined, compensation will be provided.

6. Rescheduling & Changes

​

  • More than 30 days before charter: Reschedule to a new date within the same season (subject to availability) with no penalty.

  • 15–30 days before charter: Rescheduling allowed with a 10% rescheduling fee.

  • Less than 15 days before charter: Rescheduling is not guaranteed; if possible, a 20% fee applies.

  • Rate Differences: Any increase in rates for new dates must be paid by the client; no refund if the rate is lower.

  • Limit: Only one rescheduling per booking.

  • Deadline: Rescheduled charters must take place within 12 months of the original booking date.

  • Payments: All payments and APA already paid will be transferred to the new booking date.

7. Guest Responsibilities

​

  • Guests must treat the yacht, crew, and equipment with care.

  • Any damage caused by guests will be charged accordingly.

​

8. Safety & Conduct

​

  • The captain’s decisions regarding safety and conduct are final.

  • Illegal activities are strictly prohibited.

​

9. Insurance

​

  • Mediterrana Yachts maintains appropriate vessel insurance.

  • Clients are advised to secure personal travel insurance.

​

10. Liability

​

  • Mediterrana Yachts is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage sustained during the charter, except where required by law.
